Embracing Change...

   Good afternoon!
   Happy Friday!

So many momentous things have been occuring in my life this past week! From features on LisbonSky to YouTube, I have certainly been feeling the love on this digital scape. The past week has really been a hustle for me on a few different levels. Long ago- before so much changed in my life and confuddled my routine with wishy washy ... confusion, I was once an avid yoga and fitness lover and partaker. I realize that a large part of my unbalance at this time is because I did not stick with my routine- and therefore,  went through multiple physical & emotional changes that I personally say have not been positive. What I'm getting at here, is I finally sat down this week and assessed my current situation and decided to go for my Yoga certification this may at the Samarya Center in Seattle. I feel focused and progressive and am diligently working on a plan to organize my finances by that time- including a radical sale! - at my shop :) In addition to that new development, I'm hopping back across country next Tuesday... (i think?) to Washington to pursue this education and wrap up the home improvements there with Dave. And then I believe we are looking at houses down here in St. Petersburg?? Hahaha- who knows anymore?!

So just a final tidbit- I've been sticking with my project 365 on flickR ( see right for my most recent uploads). Some acid-free fine art prints are available at my Etsy and I am happy to take on custome orders! Here's my pic from yesterday, March 4th.

Much love & happy weekend!

New Mandala Style Flowers

Brrr!! It's just about 30 degrees outside here in Oly (WA)!! Hope life is warmer and a bit more sunny for the rest of you!

I just wanted to post an update on some of my new artworks. Wish me luck- this upcoming week is my first venture in finding a shop to work at here in town. I have a meeting on Tuesday with a shopowner locally :) ( Ohmmmm )

Anyways- I painted a few things this week- mainly just these two flowers- been trying out some geometric stuff trying to get my line work more steady and consistent.

This particular piece is half mandala half fleur. No real dedication in style- but I like the tones I went with... I went with more earthy tones for my second one which I will post next time as a p.s.

Finally- I painted this traditional style dagger this week too.

Both of these originals will be on my Etsy!
So although it has become grey and extremely nippy I am doing my best to remain proactive! TUSH! Burlesque is already on the road for the next show which is going to be Thursday February 11, 2010 at The Royal in Olympia, WA.

Until some more good news comes about- enjoy your days!

Finally!

Something you will realize is I am always a day late and a dollar short. I can barely keep up with myself!

About 2 weeks ago I did my first tattoo- it was a squiggly boob. Just a good ole boobie. Just one. To keep him comin back for more! Then I did a Daruma and Dave's co worker ( which is awesome, because I love Daruma's & tattooing has been a long time wish of mine ;) which he then added some gnar waves too.

Yesterday I did my third tattoo- this sweet little cherry blossom:

I am so happy I can't believe I m finally tattooing! After 2 years of watching & getting bailed on for an apprenticeship I am lucky that it actually came to be. I guess I should say thank you to Dave for being super supportive and awesome the whole time.

Anyways, just a quick Tuesday morning post as I am off to revamp Dave & my websites hopefully today!

My Dirty Little Secret

So earlier this year I found a new love. he's big and round, heavy, and likes to spin in circles!

My hoola hoop! It the most amazingly fun thing to do that helps me to center myself without having to sit perfectly still in some sort of yogic pose battling gnawing thoughts of stupid things as I search for some sense of peace. I've never danced or done anything on that level - but with my hoop i have found a graceful flowing movement which exposes a very sexy hip swaying me- I cant say i've heard my lov complain about it! He'll usually fire up the Bar B while I m out hooping and sit an watch.
Anyways, recently I made a handful of hoops for friends and then (see below Miss Loosie Foot demoing a handful of my hoops at the lake!)

And those great friends encouraged me to share the joy that hooping brings with others via etsy and local sales. So I made my final shop http://www.thehiprevolution.etsy.com - a place where I can hand make something for all levels of hoopers (HAVE NO FEAR BEGINNERS!! Hooping is for all ages, shapes, sizes and the such. Trust me!)

Check it out- and if you mention that you saw it in my blog I'll be sure to take $5 off of any order. Thanks a bunch!

I'm off to pick blackberries today and reshoot some pictures for TooFastClothing Online- I model some clothes for them here and there. They have some cool items and the such!

Post a new blog maybe even with a hooping vid asap- gotsta enjoy this lovely grey day for now!

Cheers!

Art... To Be Tattooed

Welcome! Just wanted to drop in and write a quick one up about my new Etsy shop - www.ToBeTattooed.Etsy.com
where you will find my original artwork. It aint nuthin special, but its mine.
Regardless, I try to produce art of a decent quality, usually reflecting my interest in tattoos and tattooing. Subject matter is mostly inspired from tattoos- especially of neo traditional and japanese styles.
Obviously I am in student mode and have much to learn- I appreciate anyone with any feedback or thoughts on people to take a look at! A sidenote that may be of interest, especially if you are a tattooer- check out my darling Dave Sinor's art here- www.DaveSinor.com he's wicked sweet at Japanese - especially dragons.
In addition to creating art- I also am a burlesque dancer with Tush! The Vaudeville Vixens , an Olympia,WA based burlesque debuting in late August.
